Research Notes:  The Newcastle CP Tithe Applotments were transcribed from the FHL film #0256672 by Pat Connors.  The film was in fairly good condition but the handwriting was very old, plus the recorder couldn't spell some of the surnames.  All recorded names are as spelled in the record.  All together it was, at times, extremely hard to read correctly, therefore, all entries should be checked if you are trying to find connections to your family.  This resource is an index, since there is more information for each entry in the source document.  The Townlands and/or areas were also hard to read, and used old times spellings, so may not look familiar.
NEWCASTLE NOTES:  There were three books of tithes for this civil parish.  They were arranged differently and had different handwriting but all dated 1825.  They seem to be the basically the same possibly copied over.  Since the handwriting is different, one very neat, another like chicken scratch, I may have transcribed them differently.  So, if you think you have ancestors in this parish, please check out the film and decide for yourself whether or not my transcription is correct.
