Are you familiar with the
O'CONNOR house at rural Homer, Dakota Co., NE.? Capt. O'CONNOR
was born in Co. Cork, Ireland in 1821, and came to the states in 1829.
He lived in Boston, MA. and New York before coming west with his wife,
Katherine DUGGAN and family in 1857. The home was started in 1875 by
Capt. O'CONNOR, who was a carpenter. I believe there were 10 children
in the family--I can check, if interested---and very few of those lived
to adulthood.
