For God and King
The 'For God and King" is about the establishment of the Tuamgramey (Tomgraney), Scariff, Mountshannon region of Co.Clare. It covers our family of Fletchers and has an excellent index of people from earlier times. It tells the story of the times when Landlords imported people to work the small industry and the birth of Mountshannon region about 260 years ago.
 

Freemen of Limerick
1746-1836 Index from N.Munster Antiq. J. 4(3)(1945):103-30 (gives name, address, occupation in some cases, and date freedom attained). This is as written in James G Ryan's Irish Records.

 

Griffiths valuation index
1851-52 for County Limerick.  1855 for County Galway.  This is a record of property assessment of all properties in Ireland.  The index lists each head of household, townland and civil parish.  Researcher should always refer to source document for accuracy.  The LDS Family History Library microfilm number for the Surname Index for County Limerick is #6341623.  Lookups will be for Counties Limerick and Galway only.

Irish Flax Growers
In 1796 the Irish Linen board published a list of nearly 60,000 individuals who received awards for planting between one and five acres of flax.  This index gives full name, civil parish where the indivdual grew flax and the county in which the individual grew the flax.  Lookups will be for Counties Clare, Galway and Limerick only.

 

A Pauper Warren, West Limerick 1845 to 1849
This is the study of the Monteagle Estate and its hinterland on the southern shore of the Shannon Estuary in County Limerick during the years 1845-49.

 

Cappamore, A parish history
Published in 1992, this book paints a picture of Cappamore encompassing its culture, customs, traditions and heritage.

 

West Limerick Families Abroad
A study of the Irish who left West Limerick and traveled to the four corners of the globe.  This work sets out their family trees, logs their emigration and contains numerous stories of their triumphs, trials and tribulations in their new homeland.

 

1881 British Census and National Index
The 1881 British Census includes information for the following:  England, Scotland, Wales, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and the Royal Navy.  Only one request per email and only one per week.  Need full name and age for lookup.
