Irish Flax Growers

 1796

Research Notes:  In 1796 the Irish Linen Board published a list of individuals who received awards for planting between one and five acres of flax.  Those who planted one acre were awarded four spinning wheels, those with five acres of flax were given a loom.  This index gives full name and civil parish where the flax was grown.
