Notes: The Tithe Applotments were transcribed
for this parish by
Pat Connors from the Family History Film #0256591.
The film was in fairly good condition but the handwriting was very old,
plus the recorder couldn't spell some of the surnames. All recorded
names are as spelled in the record. All together it was, at times,
extremely hard to read correctly, therefore, all entries should be
checked if you are trying to find connections to your family. This
resource is an index, since there is more information for each entry in
the source document. The Townlands and/or areas were also hard to read,
and used old times spellings, so may not look familiar.
2. Each entry took two pages in the tithes book and were filmed separately. On the right hand side page at the very end of the entry were notes by the enumerator. Many times he added more names, so those are also added to this index. What I found most interesting is for some men listed, in the notes there is a woman's name with 'widow'. I interpreted it as the first entry, the man, was the husband to the widow. Great data, if so. But, at least it is a lead to follow. Both names are in the index.
