Census Returns

Derbyshire Census Returns 1841-1891 (microfilm)

Coverage is limited to the Northern parishes, extending to Ripley (south), Hayfield (north), Creswell & Langwith (east) and New Mills (west). The 1891 Census area is further extended to include Belper, Glossop & Ilkeston. There are some inconsistencies e.g. Glossop appears in 1841 holdings, but not in 1851-81, while New Mills is not held for 1861, and there are a few unscheduled holdings of Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire parishes.
